Alon Brands Recognizes Albuquerque Stores

Clean TEAM event honors top performers, community

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Alon Brands, the Dallas-based supplier and marketer of FINA fuels and the largest licensee of 7-Eleven in North America, held a week-long community appreciation celebration in Albuquerque, N.M., to honor the market's top performance in the company's Clean TEAM 2011 initiative.

This is the second year of the program and the second year that the Albuquerque market has taken top honors.

Launched in January 2010, the Clean TEAM program highlights the importance of attractive stores, clean and comfortable restrooms, attentive customer service and freshly stocked shelves to create exceptional customer experiences and to present positive environments in the local communities served by Alon Brands, its distributors and local store teams.

Company-owned and independently operated stores, which include more than 900 locations in New Mexico and Texas, were evaluated in six key areas throughout 2011 to determine the top performers for the year.

Alon Brands president and CEO Kyle McKeen announced that this Albuquerque 7-Eleven FINA location earned the highest average score of the 300-plus company-owned locations, and all 23 Albuquerque stores scored more than 90%, qualifying them for Clean TEAM certification.

"We're proud of the hard work, consistency, commitment and leadership the Albuquerque stores and team members continue to show in the New Mexico community," said McKeen. "This award rewards the strong collaboration of the Albuquerque team and its effective contribution to keeping clean, valuable stores for the community."

Company officials joined local business, civic and industry leaders on February 2, across from the store, where they discussed the importance of clean, safe convenience stores in the community before presenting the top store manager, Albuquerque resident Christina Lopez, with a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox.

From January 29 to February 5, 2012, all Albuquerque 7-Eleven FINA stores celebrated the local community with weeklong specials and daily giveaways. Customers won prizes, including an iPad, $15 iTunes gift cards, table top patio heater, flip video camera, FINA Flash cash, free milk for one year, free ice cream for one year, a one-year membership to Defined Fitness and more.

Alon Brands is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in North America, marketing motor fuel products at more than 600 distributor-serviced locations in the Southwest. The company's products also are sold at more than 300 additional company-owned locations in Texas and New Mexico.
