7-Eleven Canada Mobile Deal

Mobilicity signs distribution agreement to sell unlimited wireless
TORONTO -- In a deal that it said will make buying unlimited wireless offerings more convenient for Canadians, Mobilicity said that its products will soon be available at 7-Eleven Canada stores across Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton.

"We take the complexities out of wireless so that everything from buying a phone to using that phone is convenient for our customers," said Doug Perry, Mobilicity's vice president of sales. "Being able to buy Mobilicity's unlimited wireless day or night at 7-Eleven will only add to that convenient customer experience."

Roger Barratt, [image-nocss] product manager for 7-Eleven Canada, said, "We are excited to be the first national convenience store chain to offer Mobilicity. Mobilicity's unlimited offerings support our overall goal of providing our customers with convenience and quality and it enhances our position as the contract-free wireless destination in the convenience store industry."

Mobilicity will offer unlimited mobile phone offerings without a contract or credit check at approximately 150 7-Eleven locations later this year in time for the holiday shopping season.

The company's pay-in-advance, unlimited talk, text and data plans ensure bill certainty, eliminating the risk of incurring extra fees and unexpected charges that have become common on Canadian wireless bills, it said.

Mobilicity provides city-based consumers with simple talk, text and data plans on its unlimited 3.5G network without contracts, credit checks or hidden charges. Formerly known as Data & Audio Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc. (DAVE Wireless), the company is led by Obelysk, a diversified Canadian holding company, and Quadrangle Capital Partners, a global investor in the telecommunications and media sectors with more than $3 billion of capital under management.

7-Eleven, Dallas, operates, franchises or licenses more than 8,200 7stores in North America. Globally, it operates, franchises or licenses close to 38,800 stores in 16 countries. During 2009, 7-Eleven stores worldwide generated total sales of more than $58.9 billion.
