Warheads Bringing the Easter Season Year Round

Sour Jelly Beans expanded to everyday program

LITTLETON, Colo. -- The Warheads sour candy brand is extending the Warheads Sour Jelly Beans beyond the Easter season. Starting in May 2014, Warheads Sour Jelly Beans will be available year round with an expanding offering of packaging formats.

"The everyday jelly bean category has seen great growth, currently growing at two times the non-chocolate category. The sour jelly bean market is even stronger, growing at eight times the industry; however, there does not exist a sour branded, value-priced offering in the everyday market. We saw the opportunity to fill this gap with our highly successful Warheads Sour Jelly Beans," said Andy Telatnik, director of marketing.

Warheads Sour Jelly Beans come in six fruit flavors. Packaging formats include theater boxes, peg bags and laydown bags in 12-count cases. Suggested retail prices range from $1 to $2.99.

Warheads Sour Jelly Beans will begin shipping in May 2014.
