WATERLOO, Wis. — Van Holten’s has been recognized by the Safe Quality Food Program.

The company, known for its Pickle-in-a-Pouch products, has achieved SQF Level 2 certification, meaning it maintains one of the most stringent food safety programs in the industry, according to Van Holten's.

“It means a lot to us to be able to show that food safety is a top priority at Van Holten’s,” said Jacinda Buss, Van Holten’s quality assurance manager. “Van Holten’s has spent the past 18 months developing policies, implementing procedures and training employees to achieve this certification.”

The Waterloo, Wis.-based company also owns Pickle Cutz, VH Pickleback Mixer and Pickle-Ice. Van Holten’s products can be found at convenience stores, grocery stores and other retail outlets.
