Kellogg Debuts Rice Krispies Treats Snap Crackle Poppers at C-Stores Nationwide

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- The Kellogg Co. has expanded its line of Rice Krispies Treats with the launch of Rice Krispies Treats Snap Crackle Poppers, now available in convenience stores nationwide.

Rice Krispies Treats Snap Crackle Poppers are available in Chocolatey and Cookies ‘n’ Creme flavors, both of which arrive in a 6-count case and 5-ounce stand-up resealable bags. Like its predecessors, the varieties are made with crisp rice cereal held together with butter and marshmallow cream.

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats have thrived in 2018. The product has grown nearly 9% in c-stores since March 2017, according to Kellogg, citing data from Chicago-based research firm Nielsen. The company reported a 3% increase for its snacks division during this year’s third-quarter, bringing the segment’s growth to 5% for the year. Rice Krispies Treats played a role in this growth, the company said.

Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg sells products in more than 180 countries. With nearly $13 billion in sales in 2017, it produces a variety of cereal, snack and convenience brands, including Keebler, Special K, Pringles, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Pop-Tarts, Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Cheez-It, Eggo, Mini-Wheats and more.
