KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Hostess Brands LLC is continuing what it is calling "the Sweetest Comeback in the History of Ever" with the return to store shelves of additional Hostess snack cake brands.
Three months after its Twinkies officially returned, Hostess is bringing back more varieties of its beloved snack cakes including fan favorites like Orange CupCakes as well as all three flavors of Zingers--Vanilla, Chocolate and Raspberry. DingDongs have also returned.
All of these varieties are available in both multipacks and single-serve packs at local grocers and retailers nationwide.
Since the comeback officially kicked off on July 15, more than 100 million snack cakes, including classics such as Twinkies, Chocolate CupCakes and Donettes, have been shipped to stores.
Other Hostess indulgences, including SnoBalls and SuzyQs, are slated to return soon, said the company.
New York City-based Apollo Global Management LLC and GreenC. Dean Metropoulos & Co. bought most of the snack cake brands from the bankrupt Hostess Brands earlier this year for $410 million. They also consolidated production from 11 bakeries to four--one each in Georgia, Kansas, Illinois and Indiana. They moved the headquarters from Irving, Texas to Kansas City, Mo.
