SHIRLEY, N.Y. — Give & Go Prepared Foods Corp. is conducting a voluntary nationwide recall of dozens of muffin products due to the potential for the products to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recall includes several bulk and single-serve packaged bakery brands, such as Uncle Wally’s, The Worthy Crumb and Great Value, as well as proprietary items, including some branded for 7-Eleven Inc.’s 7-Select line and Stop & Shop’s house brand.
“We became aware of this issue as part of our environmental monitoring program,” the company said. “To date, we have received no reports of illness related to this issue and are taking this action out of an abundance of caution.”
This recall is limited solely to the products listed below, which have been sold in retail stores nationwide. No other Give & Go products are affected, and this recall does not affect products in countries other than the United States.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
Consumers who have these products should immediately dispose of the products and not eat them. Consumers and retailers should make a note of the lot code of the products, which is found on the label, and contact Give & Go. This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
