COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. — Drake’s has rolled out Cookies & Creme Brownies, which will be available in convenience stores throughout the eastern United States.

The new product is made with fudge brownies covered in white icing and topped with chocolate cookie crumbles.

"Drake's Cookies & Creme Brownies bring together two classic American treats: brownies and cookies," said Chip Stenberg, Drake's associate brand manager. "Drake's fans will enjoy plenty of real chocolate cookie crumbles on each delicious fudge brownie."

Each box contains six individually wrapped brownies. All products from Drake's, maker of Devil Dogs, Coffee Cakes and Yankee Doodles, are certified kosher by the Orthodox Union. Drake’s also recently introduced Mini Pound Cakes into its lineup.

Collegedale, Tenn.-based McKee Foods, which owns Drake’s, was founded in the 1920s by O.D. McKee, who began selling 5-cent snack cakes from the back of his car. Today, the family-owned company employs more than 6,200 people in Collegedale; Gentry, Ark.; Stuarts Draft, Va.; and Kingman, Ariz.

With annual sales of about $1.4 billion, the company’s products include Little Debbie snack cakes, Sunbelt Bakery snacks and cereals and Fieldstone Bakery food products, in addition to Drake’s cakes.
