Classic Cherry Garcia Now in Chocolate, Too

Ben & Jerry's releases limited-edition 'flavor flip'

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Ben & Jerry's has released a limited-edition Chocolate Cherry Garcia ice cream—its third "flavor flip."

The South Burlington, Vt.-based ice-cream manufacturer took the classic Cherry Garcia variety and put the cherries and chocolate chips into chocolate ice cream.

"This was a fun way to add a chocolate twist to create a new flavor by using the same euphoric ingredients from Cherry Garcia our fans have grown to love," the company said. The flavor is available in Scoop Shops and coming soon to stores, according to the Ben & Jerry's website.

Other "flavor flips" include Totally Baked, a flip of the Half Baked cookie-dough variety and featuring chocolate and vanilla ice creams with fudge brownies and chocolate-chip cookies.
