What Convenience-Store Leaders Will Learn at This Year’s Outlook Leadership Event

Convenience-store leaders can network, elevate their business, gain strategic insights and more at CSP’s Outlook Leadership. This year’s event will be held Aug. 6-8 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

  • Emotion By Design – Creative Leadership Lessons From a Life at Nike: Greg Hoffman, Nike’s former chief marketing officer and author of Emotion by Design, will share lessons and stories that illustrate the power of creativity. Hoffman will draw from his three decades at Nike, where he infused its brand with emotion, elevating the Swoosh beyond a logo.
  • C-Suite in the Hot Seat: C-suite executives Derek Gaskins, chief marketing officer at Yesway, and Terri Micklin, president of GetGo, will take to the hot seat to delve into their most pressing challenges, innovative strategies and future visions.
  • Leading the Charge: C-StoreTEC Innovations and Insights: Art Sebastian,NexChapter CEO and advisory board member for CSP’s C-StoreTEC event, will discuss the latest advancements and strategic initiatives shaping the future of the c-store industry. Hear updates on the board’s current projects. Sebastian will also provide a preview of the upcoming Retail Media Networks Forum.  
  • Finding Your Greatness: Jennifer Bach, vice president of Break Time Operations at MFA Oil Co.; Rob Chumley, senior vice president and chief digital officer at Murphy USA; and Blackie Wills, CEO of The Wills Group, will discuss how they are seizing the opportunity and pursuing greatness in a difficult season of inflationary pressures and consumer uncertainty.
  • Recognizing the Risk:Threat Assessment and Management in the Workplace: Frank Patercity, director of corporate security at Kroger, will give insights into managing threats in the retail industry. He will share how a systematic approach is vital for identifying, assessing and managing risks that can affect operations, assts and personnel in c-stores and other retail settings.
