S. Abraham & Sons Event to Highlight ‘Magical’ Merchandising

2016 Vendor Exhibit & Trade Show slated for February

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- “SAS and Convenience Retailing: Where the Magic Begins” is the theme for the 2016 S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) Vendor Exhibit & Trade Show.

DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Mich., is the site for the 30th annual show, featuring 175 booths, representing 260 manufacturers and nearly a hundred new items for SAS and its customers.

Approximately 1,500 stores will be represented by buyers at this year’s show. The show opens on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 9 a.m. for multi-store owners and at 2 p.m. for all customers. The show continues on Friday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Houdini’s Magic Mart will feature magical merchandising ideas, new fixtures, along with an array of foodservice items. Attendees will see programs such as Champs Chicken, Calico Fudge, Hot Off the Grill, Fruit Ridge Farms, Peppers Smoothies, Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts, Revolution Tea, Beantown Coffee, Joe Coffee and an espresso machine through Bunn, among other headliners that will be featured at this year’s show.

The show will feature comedy magician Mike Hammer as the headline entertainment for The Grand Illusion. Following dinner and the magic show, guests will enjoy a dessert buffet hosted by Mondelez International using ingredients such as Oreos, Toblerone chocolate bars, Nabisco Nilla Wafers and more.

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based SAS is a convenience store supplier, with distribution centers in Grand Rapids and Indianapolis, serving retailers in nine states.
