McCormick Names President for North America

Flavor company also appoints strategy, development exec

SPARKS, Md. -- McCormick & Co. Inc. has appointed Brendan Foley to president for North America effective June 1, 2015. Foley will become members of McCormick's Management Committee.

In Foley's new role, Foley is responsible for the Consumer and Industrial Divisions for the United States and Canada, as well as the human relations, quality, supply chain and finance functions for North America. He continues to serve as a member of the Global Consumer Strategy Council.

Foley joined McCormick in 2014 and served as president U.S. consumer. Prior to McCormick, he spent more than 15 years at H.J. Heinz serving as zone president for Heinz North America, president for the U.S. consumer products business as well as president of the U.S. Foodservice business.  Prior to Heinz, he worked in marketing for General Mills Inc., and Ketchum Advertising/Chicago.

McCormick also recently announced the appointment of Nneka Rimmer to the role of senior vice president of corporate strategy and development, reporting to Alan D. Wilson, Chairman and CEO.

In this new role, Rimmer is responsible for shaping overall corporate strategy and development activities to achieve company objectives. Her core responsibilities include providing strategic direction for mergers and acquisitions, overseeing internal and external research activities including qualitative and quantitative research methods, consumer insights, demographic studies and competitive market intelligence.

This position will help McCormick fulfill its long-term growth needs while strengthening its competitive leverage in an expanding marketplace.

Prior to McCormick, Rimmer was a partner and managing director with the Boston Consulting Group where she spent more than 13 years. She has more than 10 years of experience in designing, executing and leveraging successful large-scale transformation initiatives, working with large global consumer goods corporations. Her global corporate expertise includes competitive strategy, international growth strategy with focus on Russia, India and China, trade strategy, go-to-market strategy and organizational development.

Rimmer began her career with Motorola. She was a product development consultant for the George Group and a strategy consultant for EthnicGrocer.com.

Sparks, Md.-based McCormick, with $4.2 billion in annual sales, manufactures, markets and distributes spices, seasoning mixes, condiments and other flavor products to the food industry—retail outlets, food manufacturers and foodservice businesses.
