Core-Mark Promotes Two Key Members of Management

Hobson named SVP of marketing; Stein named SVP of U.S. distribution east

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Core-Mark Holding Co. Inc., one of the largest marketers of fresh and broad-line supply solutions to the convenience retail industry in North America, has promoted Christopher K. Hobson to senior vice president of marketing and William Stein to senior vice president of U.S. distribution (East), effective Jan. 1.

Hobson joined Core-Mark in 2000 from the convenience store retail industry where he managed more than 70 franchise locations. He has served Core-Mark as a district manager, division president and most recently as vice president of marketing, where he spearheaded the critically important Fresh and Vendor Consolidation Initiatives.

Stein joined Core-Mark in 1993 and has served in progressively higher roles of responsibility since. He has been a product category specialist, an area sales manager, a general sales manager and a division president. Most recently he has served as vice president of U.S. distribution (East), where he has responsibility for 10 eastern divisions.

South San Francisco, Calif.-based Core-Mark offers a full range of products, marketing programs and technology solutions to approximately 31,000 customer locations in the United States and Canada through 28 distribution centers. Core-Mark services traditional convenience retailers, grocers, drug, liquor and specialty stores, and other stores that carry convenience products.
