Waltz is the owner of The Impressionist, which does interior and exterior painting in Hanover, York and Lancaster. He said he spends $60 to $70 each week on gasoline as he drives to job sites. At the same time, the down economy has cut into his revenue. Winning the [image-nocss] free gas "was a big, big help for me," said the Rutter's customer. "I've been running on fumes for weeks."
The fuel giveaway began May 26 and runs through August 24. Four customers will win free gasoline for three years, with the remaining grand-prize drawings scheduled for August 4 and September 15. The first winner was Kathy Wallick of North York.
Family-owned and third-generation managed, York, Pa.-based Rutter's operates 52 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.
