PSI Now a Source for EV Charger Installation

Fueling-equipment provider partners with ChargePoint

EDINBURG, Texas -- Fueling-equipment provider Petroleum Solutions Inc. (PSI) is now in the electric-vehicle (EV) charging business thanks to a new partnership with charging-station provider ChargePoint.

PSI has signed a channel partner agreement with ChargePoint, meaning the company can now can sell and install EV charging stations at traditional fuel retailers. The stations will be part of ChargePoint’s EV charging network. EV drivers use ChargePoint’s app to locate stations in the network, which includes more than 42,000 charging spots in North America.

PSI’s charging-station services include electrical contracting through its PSI Energy Solutions business, which will also continue to offer its existing electrical and lighting services and fuel generator systems.

PSI President Mark Barron said the Edinburg, Texas-based company, which is an authorized distributor of Gilbarco Veeder-Root, OPW, Gasboy and LSI lighting products, was excited to become a member of the EV supply-equipment industry.

“Through our partnership with ChargePoint, PSI Energy Solutions will help our convenience-store and fleet customers expand the infrastructure for a new form of energy distribution,” Barron said.
