1,000th site gets Gilbarco Passport POS system for ExxonMobil

GREENSBORO, N.C. – store in Washington, D.C., became the 1,000th site on the Exxon Mobil Corp. retail network to have a Gilbarco Passport point-of-sale (POS) system installed, the supplier said.

The Passport POS system is certified on all major oil company networks and many generic networks, added the Greensboro, N.C.-based company. Passport Version 6 and later meets the Visa U.S.A. Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) under the Visa Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). It minimizes the potential for security breaches and compromised card information when implemented [image-nocss] in the retailer's PCI-compliant environment.

"ExxonMobil has provided important direction and feedback in the development of the Passport point-of-sale system over the years," said Greg Davis, marketing manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "We are proud to reach this important milestone and we look forward to supporting their future point of sale needs."
