Clark Selects Prudential Bache Commodities

Will serve as preferred risk management vendor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Clark Brands has selected Prudential Bache Commodities as a preferred vendor for risk management and hedging services. As a preferred vendor, Prudential Bache will be recommended by Clark to those Clark licensees seeking to develop or enhance a risk management or hedging program for their petroleum supply.

We believe the addition of Prudential Bache as a preferred vendor further enhances the value of the Clark brand for our licensees, said Karl Goodhouse, Clark's president. Clark licensees will continue to be able to manage their [image-nocss] own supply cost of goods by purchasing their best supply cost everyday. And now they have a resource to help them manage their risk. We are very pleased to be able to recommend Prudential Financial to our Licensees who want or need assistance in developing a risk management program for their supply portfolios.

Clark's Licensee Advisory Board recently reviewed and endorsed Prudential Bache as a preferred vendor. Under the program, Clark licensees will be able to contact Prudential Bache's Kansas City offices for commercial hedging and risk management services. Prudential will work with individual licensees to tailor a program to meet their requirements, it said.

Naperville, Ill.-based Clark Brands owns the Clark family of brands. The company licenses the Clark gasoline brand and the Four Corners Coffee brand to independent petroleum marketers and retailers in 20 states.
