Opens Popeyes in Porter, Ind., as foodservice rollout continues

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) said that it has added a Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits restaurant to its Porter, Ind., location along I-94 at Exit 22 B. It is the latest in a string of such rollouts in the last few weeks.

This is the 43rd Popeyes location operated by TA across its site network. Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits is an Atlanta-based chain known for its made-fresh Cajun-style fried chicken. Popeyes offers signature Cajun fried chicken, red beans and rice side dishes and other meal items.

The Popeyes restaurant joins the Porter food court, which includes [image-nocss] a Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, with seating for 86 people.

TA operates more than 220 quick-serve restaurants (QSRs) across the U.S. interstate system.

As reported in CSP Daily News earlier this week, it announced that it has added a Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits restaurant to its Richmond, Va.,location along I-95 & Lewistown Road at Exit 89.And last week, TA said that it added a Burger King restaurant to its Commerce City, Colo., location along I-70/I-270 at Exit 278 in metropolitan Denver, the 28th Burger King in operation by TA within its network.

And last month TA also announced that it has added a Tim Hortons restaurant to its Monroe, Mich., location along I-75 at Exit 15 on U.S. Route 50.Tim Hortons is a Canada-based coffee and donut chain known for its "20-minute fresh" coffee, as well as for having all bakery products are made fresh daily on site. The chain also serves soups, chili, sandwiches and breakfast items.

TravelCenters of America, headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, is a major national chain of travel centers in 41 states and Canada under the TravelCenters of America and Petro brands. With convenient locations on interstate exits, TA offers its customers diesel and gasoline fueling services, full-service and quick-service restaurants, heavy-truck maintenance services, 24-hour convenience stores, electronic communication (WiFi) and other services, all within large, high traffic facilities.
