YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores have added beef short ribs and cannolis to the central Pennsylvania convenience store chain's foodservice menu.
The "tender, fall-off the bone" all-beef short ribs are slathered with Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue sauce, then oven baked, the company said. Each rib has 1.7 ounces of meat, and customers can choose to order two, three or four ribs to an order.
Each order is prepared at the time the customer makes the order.
For dessert, Rutter's customers can now choose sweet and creamy Rutter's cannolis. Two cannolis come in a serving, and each is filled with fresh cream filling when a customer places the order. Powdered sugar is sprinkled on top to complete the sweet treat.
"We think these items not only taste delicious, but also provide our customers an exceptional value," said Rutter's vice president of foodservice, Jerry Weiner. "They're also a unique item to a c-store menu, and we love giving our customers items they can't find anywhere else."
The chain recently added Mahi Mahi fish bites, chicken wings, pork "wings," taco dogs, brisket and corned beef sandwiches to its foodservice offering.
