Are has served as the CFO of Rational USA and the North America region since he joined Rational in 2015. Supported by the North American leadership team, he assumed the interim responsibilities effective Dec. 4.

“We have a proven strategy, strong North American leadership team and we will continue to do what we do best—provide our customers with market-leading commercial foodservice equipment and deliver an unmatched customer experience,” said Are.

During Glueck’s eight-year tenure, the North American team established a partner network, expanded warehousing and distribution and launched the iCombi and iVario product lines across the region.

“Rational is grateful for Markus Glueck’s contributions to the organization, which include strong revenue growth and the achievement of a 60% market share in the North American combi oven market segment,” said Markus Paschmann, chief sales and marketing officer and member of the Rational AG executive board. “He developed a strong leadership team and spearheaded investments in infrastructure that position Rational for continued and future success.”
