SMYRNA, Tenn. — Franke Coffee Systems America is expanding its A-Line series of automatic equipment with the new A1000 Flex, which delivers traditionally brewed coffee and espresso beverages, hot or iced, in one machine.
The A1000 Flex, a high-volume solution that delivers coffee and espresso beverages, hot or iced, at the touch of a button, includes integrated features such as cold-water bypass for iced beverages and a patented brew unit designed for coffee and espresso.
Customers can select their cup size, the beverage, and whether it’s hot or iced. They also can select from two types of dairy milk or leave room for cream. Also making customization easy is a powder hopper for chocolate plus an optional flavor station for up to six varieties of syrups, the company said.
Customers are looking for a wide variety of barista-quality coffee and espresso beverages outside the home, all day long, Franke said. According to Allegra World Coffee Portal Research and Analysis, USA Coffee Shop Market—Strategic Analysis, December 2020, black coffee, latte and cappuccino are the preferred morning beverages while mocha beverages are the go-to for an afternoon treat.

The A1000 Flex also features a coffee extraction technology called IQFlow, a FoamMaster milk system for perfectly foamed milk, and CleanMaster, an automated, true clean-in-place system to keep the machine operating at optimal performance.
