Fried in Southern Oil

Chain franchises Chester's chicken in Miss.

FLORENCE, Miss. -- Chester's International, a fried-chicken foodservice offering in the convenience-store category, celebrated the grand opening of its Florence, Miss., restaurant at the Southern Oil convenience store.

Chester's newest store will be operated by franchisee, Mitchell Morris, owner and operator of the Southern Oil c-store located in historic Florence.

The Southern Oil store will serve lunch and dinner offering Chester's signature menu options, including Chester's fried chicken, potato wedges and biscuits. The Florence Chester's features seating for [image-nocss] more than 20 guests, both dine-in and carryout options and a drive-thru.

We are excited to be working with a successful operator like Mitchell Morris, said Ted Giles, CEO of Chester's International. We are also excited about bringing our great tasting fresh fried chicken to this area.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's International is a provider of quick-serve-restaurant concepts with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations.
