MONTREAL North American coffee roaster Van Houtte Inc. said that it has expanded its Van Houtte-branded coffee program with Chevron to provide coffee and equipment to all its corporate ExtraMile convenience stores on the U.S. West Coast and in Florida.
Additionally, the company has been selected as the roaster for Chevron's private-label coffee brand, Suava Java, available at Chevron's traditional Food Mart convenience stores.
The three-year agreement calls for Van Houtte to be the gourmet coffee provider for Chevron's ExtraMile [image-nocss] c-store program by providing a variety of Van Houtte coffees and assorted hot beverages. The relationship allows Van Houtte, in partnership with Chevron, to manage the ExtraMile coffee program including service, delivery and promotions.
Each Chevron ExtraMile store features three key in-store destination categories: Coffee, HydraZone (water & energy drinks) and Food-to-Go.
After working with Chevron for many years in Western Canada and then completing the successful ExtraMile pilot program in Seattle, we are thrilled that Chevron has decided to expand their relationship with us, said Jean-Yves Monette, president and CEO of Van Houtte, Montreal. This endorsement from such a major player in the petroleum and convenience store industry truly speaks to the quality of our products and our ability to craft an offering that supports the ExtraMile customer experience.
Founded in 1919, Van Houtte roasts and markets its gourmet coffees across Canada and the United States through distribution channels that include coffee services, retail stores, caf a-bistros, online shopping and foodservices.
