Antunes Expands Its Business Development Team

Asprooth will focus on equipment manufacturer’s growth in convenience stores

CAROL STREAM, Ill. -- Antunes, a custom foodservice-equipment manufacturer, has hired convenience-store industry veteran Ted Asprooth as its new business development manager. Asprooth’s role will focus on expanding Antunes’ presence in the c-store foodservice market.

Asprooth has more than 30 years of c-store industry experience. While with Chicago-based Winsight Media, he launched a leading publication for c-store retailers, suppliers and distributors and served as its publisher. He was also instrumental in creating the FARE Conference, an annual foodservice event that provides operators and retailers from different channels the opportunity to connect and share ideas.

“Ted is an industry veteran who understands the trends, challenges and needs of today’s convenience-store chains,” said Tom Krisch, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Antunes, in a company release. “His knowledge and experience are assets to our team as we seek to grow our presence in this segment of the foodservice industry.”

“Antunes is a hidden gem in the convenience-store channel, and I am excited to explore opportunities to connect operators in this space with Antunes’ custom solutions,” said Asprooth.

Based in Carol Stream, Ill., Antunes specializes in countertop cooking and water filtration solutions for global operations.
