This statement by one of my favorite statesmen, 18th century Anglo-Irish philosopher and political theorist Edmund Burke, applies to us as people and also to our businesses. Absolute rigidity and inflexibility—a mindset that what is must always be—is doomed to failure despite the nobility of its original intent.
