VERC Named to 'Book of Lists'

One of Boston region's largest family-owned businesses

DUXBURY, Mass. -- VERC Enterprises Inc., a leading independent convenience store and gasoline operation with 23 locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, has been named to The Boston Business Journal's "Book of Lists" as one of the region's largest family-owned businesses.

Published in a recent edition of the newspaper, the lists provide a source to track the progress of local sectors and the key companies within them.

Duxbury, Mass.-based VERC Enterprises, which ranked 11th on the list, employs more than 175 people and is widely recognized [image-nocss] for its growth and strong leadership role in the communities it serves.

"Our fine team is the key to our many years of success," said Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC Enterprises. "To be named in The Boston Business Journal's prestigious 'Book of Lists' is a credit to our entire staff."

VERC Enterprises is the region's leading, independent chain of convenience stores and gasoline stations, with 23 locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and, now, southern New Hampshire. The company began 30 years ago with a single car wash in Marshfield, in a business founded by Eugene Vercollone. Today, two of Vercollone's sons operate the company, with Leo as CEO and Paul as vice president.
