ENON, Ohio --Speedway LLC will hold a series of hiring events in seven states on June 15, June 16 and throughout the month, the convenience-store retailer announced on the careers page of its website. The hiring initiative follows similar pushes earlier this year by Wawa and Sheetz to add thousands of new people to their employee rosters.

Available positions at both new and under-construction Speedway convenience stores include full-time, entry-level management positions such as district manager trainees, co-manager trainees and shift leader trainees, as well as full-time and part-time customer service representatives.

The openings in Virginia are at Pilot-branded locations.

The company said it offers competitive wages, flexible schedules, 401(k) matching, “best-in-class” benefits and career growth opportunities.

Based in Enon, Ohio, Speedway is the second largest chain of company-owned and -operated convenience stores in the United States. It has approximately 2,770 locations in 22 states. Speedway is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marathon Petroleum Corp., Findlay, Ohio.
