Sheetz Opens York Store With Donation

Chain also introduces Shmonsters breakfast sandwiches

YORK, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. celebrated the grand opening of the company's newest concept store in York, Pa., on November 3. The chains 65 local employees hosted a dignitary reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

As part of the grand opening, the company made a $2,500 donation to Dallastown Area High School Student Council.

At nearly 6,000-sq.-ft., the new Sheetz location offers customers a fun, high-energy restaurant-style atmosphere. The store also features a new menu including cold and toasted subs, paninis, hand-tossed saladz [image-nocss] and brick-oven pizza, as well as a Kidz menu.

It has also added a Sheetz Bros. Coffeez Espresso Bar staffed by a professional barista who will custom blend coffee beverages. Convenience items such as a self-serve bakery, bulk candy and peanut dispensers, cold grab n go case, and self-serve milk shakes have also been included.

The York location opened to the public on October 20.

The Altoona, Pa.-based retailer has also rolled out the Shmonster. Joining Shmuffins, Shmiscuits and Shmagels, the Shmonster is a double egg, double meat and double cheese breakfast sandwich for $1 more than the regular sized breakfast sandwiches.

The Shmonster is available now at all Sheetz stores.

The company operates 319 convenience locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina.
