Rutter's Celebrates Grand Opening

Presents check to local foundation; offers specials

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores will celebrate the grand opening of its store in Waynesboro, Pa., from Friday to Sunday, October 7-9.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Friday morning. Scott Hartman, president of Rutter's, will present a check for $3,000 to the nonprofit Waynesboro Area Business, Education & Community Foundation. Rutter's will serve as tournament sponsor for the foundation's inaugural golf scramble October 14 at Waynesboro Country Club.

During the weekend, Rutter's will feature food and beverage [image-nocss] specials:

Pepsi 12-packs (all varieties), $1.99 each. Utz potato chips, 5-oz. and 5.5-oz. bags, buy one, get one free. Famous Express Deli, any 8-in. sub, buy one, get one free. Rutter's tea and drink gallons (all varieties), 99 cents each.

The store, which opened in July, offers Rutter's proprietary Famous Express Deli and Famous Express Grill, a coffee bar with latte and cappuccino, fountain soft drinks, coolers and freezers, restrooms and indoor seating for 16.

Family-owned and third generation-managed, York, Pa.-based Rutter's operates 50 convenience stores in York, Adams, Franklin and Lancaster counties.
