West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go is bringing its new prototype convenience stores to Missouri and other markets. At 6,200 square feet, the stores are almost 1,200 square feet larger than the previous “5K” design.
The store calls attention to the company’s brand color: red. The color is accented on the ceiling, at the pump and in the architecture.
Here's an exclusive look around ...
The new design features more windows, which not only provide natural light but also enable customers to see inside.
Kum & Go’s Go Fresh Market offers fresh-made food, and earlier this year, it introduced new salads and a brand-new pizza recipe. Design details such as subway tile and marble-like counters add a residential feel to the convenience store. The ampersand is used throughout the store as a way to reinforce Kum & Go’s tagline, “Where & means more.”
Kum & Go’s dispensed-beverage offering includes coffee, iced tea and hot chocolate.
Customers can get 32-ounce and 64-ounce craft beer to go at the new growler station.
Seating is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the store. Exterior seating is also available.
