DAG Nabs 19 Shell Sites

Challenging economy didn't hinder deal, D.C.-area marketer said
ARLINGTON, Va.--As reported in a CSP Daily News Flash yesterday, Shell marketer Eyob "Joe" Mamo of DAG Petroleum Suppliers LLC has completed the purchase of 19 Shell retail sites located in Arlington and Alexandria, Va. The sites were acquired through two newly formed and related companies, NOVA Petroleum Suppliers and Nova Properties.

DAG Petroleum Suppliers owns approximately 30 Shell franchises in the Washington, D.C., area.

"We look forward to integrating these newly acquired sites into our established Shell dealer network," said Mamo, president of Springfield, [image-nocss] Va.-based DAG Petroleum Suppliers. "Happily, we were able to successfully finalize this deal despite the challenging financing climate that we faced throughout the process. In the end, it came down to the dedication and professionalism of all parties involved including my staff at DAG, Shell Oil and our financing support team."

Financing was coordinated by PetroProperties & Finance, Coral Gables, Fla. "Our professional relationship spans a 10-year period with Joe and DAG. We have helped facilitate his growth of the Shell brand over the years and are delighted to have been able to coordinate the financing of this fine addition to his business," said Mike Baskin, chairman of PetroProperties & Finance.
