Another Kum & Go in Owasso

New store is town's fourth, state's 47th location

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go has opened its latest new store in Owasso, Okla. The 3,400-square-foot store took just over four months to construct, the company said. As the fourth location in Owasso, it joins the Kum & Go store that opened last month just down the street, and it is the 47th store in the state of Oklahoma. Kum & Go plans to continue its growth in Oklahoma with two new stores—one each in Lone Chimney and Coweta—scheduled to open later this year.

The new store features 16 conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, midgrade, premium and diesel [image-nocss] fuels. E-85 fuel will also be offered at four of the fueling stations. This is the first convenience store in Owasso to offer the alternative motor fuel option. Kum & Go has offered E85 since 1997 and currently offers E85 at 29 of its stores located across 12 states.

The Kum & Go stores also feature a variety of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2o nutraceutical waters. It also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the Hiland brand name.

As part of Kum & Go's commitment to developing environmentally friendly building and operating practices, the new Owasso store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.

A future tenant will fill the available 1,700 square feet of building space adjoining the store.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go has more than 430 convenience stores in 12 states (Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wyoming and Wisconsin).
