PITTSBURGH — American Natural, the convenience store and fuel distribution business owned by Pittsburgh-based Cleopatra Resources LLC, has cut the ribbon on its fifth location, in Valencia, Pa.
American Natural’s better-for-you approach to convenience offers a modern in-store experience along with conventional and alternative fueling options, including compressed natural gas for fleet customers.
American Natural, with a growing regional presence in western Pennsylvania, is distinguishing itself with small-batch food and specialty beverages; coffee, baked goods and treats sourced from local purveyors; salads, soup, pizza and handcrafted sandwiches made with specialty breads and rolls; and traditional and better-for-you snacks and beverages.
Here’s more from the preview party …
Jennifer Pomerantz, founder, CEO and chairman of American Natural and Andrea Feinstein, executive vice president, welcomed guests to the new store with a preview party to celebrate the retailer’s local partners, local ingredients and local community commitment to fuel its customers’ daily routine.
Pomerantz is amongCSP's 2018 Power 20: Change Makers.
Stacey Jobe and Pomerantz greeted visitors to the grand-opening preview party, demonstrating the retailer’s commitment to warm and efficient service.
American Natural features Zeke’s Coffee from the Baltimore-based small-batch coffee roastery of the same name.
Assistant managers Cam Zmenkowski and Gabby Molineaux offered tastings of many American Natural’s signature foods made with premium ingredients, as well as locally sourced products and seasonal fare. The core ingredient of what American Natural calls the “lifestyle convenience” format is its signature menu of fresh food for all dayparts from the Eatery, which features a wide variety of premium, affordable fresh and local offerings.
A highlight of the preview party was a Charity Casino Night benefiting Community Kitchen Pittsburgh, which has a mission to use food as the foundation for changing lives and strengthening communities, not by giving it away but by turning it into life-changing careers. American Natural donated $25 per guest to Community Kitchen Pittsburgh during the preview party and will donate 10% of Valencia's in-store opening proceeds through Dec. 31 to the nonprofit organization.
American Natural’s Director of Retail Operations Gina Suppa and Sales Operations Manager Jackie Moyer checked in guests at the Charity Casino Night preview party in honor of Community Kitchen Pittsburgh.
