5 Sites, 5 States: Love’s Sets Record
Dec. 20, 2016OKLAHOMA CITY -- Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. opened five new locations across five states Dec. 15. The openings of stores in South Jacksonville, Ill.; Ellsworth, Iowa; New London, Mo.; Norfolk, Neb., and Cayce, S.C., mark the most store openings in a single day in Love’s history.
The five locations add more than 450 truck parking spaces to the Oklahoma City-based company’s truckstop network. All locations feature one or more quick-service restaurant (QSR).
“The new locations are placed in areas where demands for parking and driver services are high,” said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love’s.

South Jacksonville, Ill.
The new South Jacksonville, Ill., site is open 24/7 and offers fuel, coffee, fruit, gift items and more. It also includes an IHOP Express restaurant.
The site offers 69 truck parking spaces, five showers and other services for professional drivers.
Love’s celebrated the opening by donating $2,000 to the Four Rivers Special Education District. It presented the donation at a ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 16.
Ellsworth, Iowa
The new Ellsworth, Iowa, site, with an 11,000-square-foot store, offers fuel, coffee, fruit, gift items, a game room, a Hardee’s restaurant and more. Professional drivers will find 100 truck parking spaces, seven showers and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center.
Love’s is celebrating the opening with donations to South High Pride Booster Club and Special Olympics Iowa. It will present the donations at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 22.
New London, Mo.
The new New London, Mo., site is open 24/7 and offers fuel, coffee, fruit, gift items, a Hardee’s restaurant and more. Professional drivers will find 112 truck parking spaces, five showers and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center.
Love’s is celebrating this new store by donating $2,000 to The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri. It will present the donation at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 29.
Norfolk, Neb.
The new Norfolk, Neb., site is open 24/7 and offers fuel, coffee, fruit, gift items and more. It also includes an IHOP Express restaurant.
Love’s is celebrating the opening by donating $2,000 to the Norfolk Family YMCA. It will present the donation at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 25.
Cayce, S.C.
The new, 12,000-square-foot Cayce, S.C., site is open 24/7 and offers fuel, coffee, fruit, gift items, Chester’s Chicken and McDonald’s restaurants and more. Professional drivers can find 92 truck parking spaces, seven showers and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center.
With the opening of a new travel stop in South Holland, Ill., in November, Love’s also surpassed 400 locations, and it expects by the end of December to set a record for annual site openings.
