WILCOHESS, Vendgogh Partner on Gas Island Vending

Cold-drink units integrated into POS system

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. & CARY, N.C. -- WILCOHESS LLC, a leading operator of travel plazas and convenience stores in the southeastern United States, and Vendgogh LLC, a leader in integrated gasoline island vending solutions, have announced a partnership to pioneer island vending at selected WILCOHESS locations.

Through this partnership, the two companies will install Vendgogh's patented, UL-approved vending solutions directly on the gasoline island at a number of WILCOHESS locations. The vending machines are integrated with WILCOHESS' point-of-sale (POS) system to offer [image-nocss] fuel customers who do not routinely go into the store the opportunity to buy at the pump. With a single swipe of their credit card, gasoline customers will be able to purchase cold drinks while they refuel, then be on their way without delay.

The initial installations are expected to be completed by March and will feature the top-selling cold drinks from the respective WILCOHESS store locations.

"We are excited about our partnership with Vendgogh," said Larry Lytle, WILCOHESS vice president of marketing. "This partnership is all about convenience. It will help us enhance the customer experience for our gas only customers and bring an unprecedented level of convenience to the gas island."

The partnership will mark the first installation of its kind anywhere in the United States. "WILCOHESS is serious about taking care of their customers and this partnership further demonstrates that commitment," said Larry McAnallen, vice president of business development at Vendgogh. "We believe our partnership will make a real difference in their business and help increase their customer loyalty."

Research has shown that up to 70% of c-store customers buy only gasoline at the gasoline island and do not enter the store. C-store owners continually look for new and innovative ways to draw customers into the store. The agreement between Vendgogh and WILCOHESS is designed to help bring the store to those fuel customers and improve their overall buying experience.

Vendgogh, headquartered in Cary, N.C., is a privately held company that delivers a gasoline island vending solution for c-stores designed to drive incremental revenue and profits and enhanced customer loyalty for c-store owners and enhanced convenience for gasoline-only c-store customers.

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based WILCOHESS has more than 400 stores and restaurants. The joint-venture company was formed in 2001 by partners A.T. Williams Oil Co. and Hess Corp. (formerly Amerada Hess), a leading independent oil company along the East Coast, and the 2005 merger with Trade Oil Co.
