Reed's Extends Reach With Kroger, Distribution Deals

Drinks now available in Indiana and Kentucky, and in grocer's stores

LOS ANGELES -- Reed's Ginger Brews will get a boost from two recent deals that put its beverage brands into more stores.

Reed's Ginger Brew, Virgil's Root Beer

Maker Reed's Inc. said its Reed’s Stronger Ginger Brew has been authorized at Cincinnati-based Kroger stores across the country. Stronger is the newest line extension in the Reed’s Ginger Brew family and is now available in about 1,600 Kroger stores across 35 states.

Meanwhile, Reed's has solidified distribution agreements with the Pure Beverage Co. and Zink Distributing to deliver the top SKUs of the beverage maker's Reed’s and Virgil’s premium craft sodas. Both distributors are based in Indianapolis, and each partner will have a different focus.

Pure Beverage will be responsible to distribute into the supermarket, grocery and mass channels, as well as independent stores in the entire state of Indiana and 13 counties in Northwest Kentucky.

Zink Distributing’s primary responsibilities will be to drive business for Reed’s and Virgil’s in the on-premise channel.

"Demand for our brands remains strong across the country," said Neal Cohane, Reed's senior vice president of sales and marketing, "and these two new distribution partnerships will only enhance our presence and strength.”
