FORT COLLINS, Colo. — New Belgium Brewing Co. is releasing a hard seltzer made with real fruit juice.
Fruit Smash Hard Seltzer has 100 calories and 4.7% alcohol by volume (ABV). It comes in Pink Lemonade, Tropical Punch and Berry Blast flavors.
Twelve-ounce cans are sold for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $14.99 to $15.99 for a variety 12-pack, depending on location.
The drinks are marketed as better for you because they are made with natural juices and flavors including raspberry juice, mango juice and lemon juice not from concentration, according to New Belgium Brewing. Each drink has 1 to 2 grams of carbs and no added sugar.
New Belgium Brewing, Fort Collins, Colo., is the fourth largest craft brewery in the United States. Its flagship beer is Fat Tire Amber Ale, and it also brews Voodoo Ranger IPA, Sour IPA and La Folie Sour Brown Ale.
