MillerCoors Expands Its Henry’s Hard Soda Line

New flavor, formulations aim to keep the category fresh

CHICAGO -- A new addition to Chicago-based MillerCoors’ Henry’s Hard Soda line hit convenience-store shelves Feb. 1: Henry’s Hard Grape Soda. And more innovation is scheduled to come next month.

Henry’s Hard Grape Soda is 4.2% alcohol by volume and offers a grape taste with citrus undertones, a balance of sweet and tart, the company said.

“It’s been a great first year for Henry’s Hard Soda, and we could not be more excited to welcome Hard Grape into to the family. It’s a flavor that our fans have been calling for,” said Josh Wexelbaum, marketing director of emerging brands for MillerCoors. “We continue to stay on top in the hard-soda category because we are committed to bringing Generation Xers an adult spin on flavors they know and love.”

The Henry’s family now includes Hard Ginger Ale, Hard Orange, Hard Cherry Cola and Hard Grape. In March, Henry’s will add an extension of sparkling, low-carb, under-95 calorie adult beverages to the mix, according to the company.

Henry’s Hard Soda is available nationwide at most grocery, liquor and convenience stores in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles. Select flavors are offered in 16-ounce single cans.
