SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Hiland Dairy has introduced a fruit and probiotic smoothie in seven flavors.
The drinkable yogurt comes in strawberry-banana, peach, pina colada, strawberry, mango, guanabana and pecan cereal. Each smoothie has live and active cultures, 6 grams of protein and 14% of recommended daily fiber.
The 7-ounce bottles, which hit shelves in October, have a suggested retail price of 99 cents.
“We are proud to offer this nutritious beverage option for our consumers,” said Rick Beaman, vice president of Hiland Dairy Foods Co. “Our consumers are interested in functional foods that provide nutritious benefits on the go. We think our new smoothies fit the bill.”
