DENVER —Defy is releasing its first non-cannabidiol (CBD) beverage, Defy Water.

The high-performance alkaline water is available in 20-ounce, 1-liter and 1.5-liter bottles online and in select retailers. Defy Water is ionized with an alkaline pH 9.5+, infused with electrolytes and minerals and created in a solar-powered facility, the company said. The water is free from impurities such as hormones, chlorines and other common hazards and contaminants.

Defy partnered with nonprofits serving the black, veteran and women’s communities to launch the beverages. Defy Water will give back a portion of its proceeds to Disabled American Veterans, the National Association of Women Business Owners and more foundations.

“As a black, woman, and veteran-owned company, Defy is proud to partner with like-minded brands that are committed to empowering every single person to defy the odds and achieve their version of success,” said CEO Megan Bushell. “We are thrilled to continue Defy's mission of designing superior products that genuinely help athletes defy the odds and supercharge their recovery, while remaining committed to charitable giving.”

Defy launched in 2019 with a THC-free performance hemp beverage, formulated to delivery rapid recovery, improve endurance and decrease muscle fatigue, the Denver-based company said. Defy’s CBD Lemonade, Orange Mango and Mixed Berry drinks are made with 20 milligrams of performance-spectrum hemp extracted and CBD. They also come in a zero-sugar variety.
