Best Damn Puts 'a Cherry on Tap'

Newest hard-soda flavor hits shelves March 7

NEW YORK -- Anheuser-Busch will launch the second flavor in its Best Damn hard-soda line next week. Best Damn Cherry Cola, from A-B's Best Damn Brewing Co., will hit shelves on March 7. Best Damn Cherry Cola is aged on whole cherries after brewing for a flavorful, harder take on the timeless taste of cherry cola, the company said.

“Best Damn Cherry Cola continues to build our portfolio of bold, approachable and down-to earth beers,” said Rashmi Patel, vice president, share of throat, Anheuser-Busch. “We named our Cherry Cola mission 'Put a Cherry on Tap,' and our brewmasters have outdone themselves with this new brew: a delicious combination of cherry, caramel and cola notes.”

Anheuser-Busch launched Best Damn Brewing Co. in December 2015 with its first nationally available brew, Best Damn Root Beer. Best Damn Brewing Co. exists within the portfolio of Anheuser-Busch brands and leverages the talent of its brewmasters and its state-of-the-art brewing facilities across the United States to deliver great-tasting brews, the company said.

Although the lineup currently includes only Root Beer and Cherry Cola, the BestDamn.com website launched in December with multiple references to and photos of Best Damn Apple Ale, which is available only in test markets.

Best Damn Cherry Cola will be available beginning Monday at bars, clubs and restaurants, as well as grocery, liquor and convenience stores across the U.S. in six-packs of bottles, 16-ounce cans, and on draught. The brew will be supported by a national media and digital campaign and an experiential activation at the SXSW Interactive Conference, where attendees will be among the first in the country to taste Best Damn Cherry Cola.
